IP stands for Internet Protocol. The IP address is a number that a computer or a router. For computers to communicate over a network or the Internet, each computer must be identified way or another, and it is being done with the help of private IP (LANs) and IP addresses public (in the Internet).
An IP address when it comes to the Internet, is a number that is to your router. When the connection is established, it sends the number of orders from a different IP address, in order to obtain information.
For example, if you have enjoyed a website (Google), it means that your computer does not really sends a request for google dot com. The real question, it sends the server’s IP address from Google.
The floor-based Internet addresses (eg www dot com dot that), we use are simply there, on the Internet more convenient and easy to use on the average person. In reality, all Web sites, send and receive digital information with IP addresses. DNS servers act as links and the number of words convert addresses into IP addresses based when you are online.
An IP address consists of four groups of numbers separated by periods (or comma or whatever you want to call it). There are more than 4.2 million combinations of numbers, can be a unique IP address.
Essentially, two types of IP addresses
There are essentially two types of IP addresses, you can meet.
One thing is your private IP address, also known as the local IP address. This is the address that your computer and the router are using to communicate with each other in your home.
Private IP addresses are not accessible from the outside or the global Internet. The most frequently used private IP address is 192.168.1.1. Most routers default to identify, in your local network, or part of the address, or 192.168.2.1.
A situation where you must know their private IP joystick, though. Some online games and other online applications must access ports on your local computer, but avoids a firewall, as port traffic.
To get around, there is a setting in your router referred joystick, joystick or persistent tunneling your router made an exception and allow traffic in a given port. The port router is redirected to the local IP (private IP) on your computer, especially for applications based on the port to operate.
The other kind of home-IP is a public IP address. A public IP address that your router is used to connect to the Internet. For example, when a public IP address is important is whether through a VPN (Virtual Private Network) or VNC (Virtual Network Computing).
VPN and applications VNC, you can create a virtual network functions such as your local network with another computer somewhere on the Internet (a friend or colleague, in the office or at home, far away, for example) . VNC applications (such as RealVNC for example), you can also another remote computer control. On the screen, you can take control of their keyboard and mouse functions, and so forth.
These applications would not be possible without the use of IP addresses to connect public and private IP address of the port forwarding on your local computer.
If you have an application for the use of port forwarding is necessary, make sure that the port has been opened, not only on the router, the installation page (as a general rule, safety or sub-Gaming tablets ), but also in your Windows Firewall. You should also check your anti-virus, anti-spyware and other similar programs, to see if it can also block ports.
