The company Dell recently acknowledged the issuance of defective laptop Vostro ,Vostro 1310 and 1510, literally afflict last month its European customers. The problem is somewhat strange laptop keyboard layout - the availability of additional key “direct backslashes” between the click “Shift” key and Z. A slight, at first glance, changing the keyboard configuration, in fact, led to serious problems for those users accustomed to typing text “blind method.”
Dell began the supply of new notebooks Vostro to the European market on April 15, 2008. Start of world sales had been scheduled for May 6. With words of the official representative Jennifer Davis (Jennifer Davis), unfortunate problem with defective keyboard could lead to a postponement world premiere models, until the problem is fixed. Manual Dell already has offered to buyers of defective models replacement keyboard and notebook BIOS upgrade; through the company, of course. Davis refused to report the number of defective laptops sold to European customers.
Recall that Dell for several years are fighting for first place in the ranking producers of mobile computers with another company market heavyweights Hewlett-Packard. In addition, the recent leadership Dell has increasingly had to look at two aggressively growing Taiwanese companies: Acer and Lenovo, loudly declare their ambitions for high-yield market. In mid-April, Dell announced that the production of a new line of notebook PCs Vostro is part of a corporate plan “for 50 - percentage increase in the portfolio of mobile computers” during 2008.
