Microsoft will help Hyundai in the development of automotive media

Microsoft and Hyundai-Kia Automotive Group (HKAG) will begin joint development of automotive information and entertainment systems next generation. Under this initiative, Microsoft and HKAG develop solutions based on automobile platforms, Microsoft (Microsoft Auto software platform).

The first product will be mobile communications system, managed voice, it will appear on the U.S. market in 2010. Later, the system will become available in Europe and Asia and takes place in multimedia and navigation devices.
Information and entertainment complexes will support music in various digital formats. If possible, they are comparable to mini-PCs. Immediately after the launch of the new features could be added through software updates filling, expanding multimedia capabilities car.
