The Agency advanced U.S. defence research projects DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) announced early tender for the design and creation of remotely operated micro UAVs (unmanned aircraft).

This is not the first draft of DARPA drones, we already wrote about the formulation of unmanned aircraft that can remain in the skies of the entire period of his life (5 years) and nanoscale aircraft, equipped with modern plasma jet engine.

Requirements for the following apparatus: the length of UAVs should not exceed 7.5 cm and weight of 10 grams. Staff should have versatile enough for use indoors. Also engines apparatus should be compact and consume little power, all this will enable nano-aircraft longer stay in flight and thus perform their tasks more efficiently.

For what purposes will be used specifically to a new UAV, representatives of DARPA has not yet explain. Perhaps he will become a component of the innovation system arming U.S. soldier Land Warrior. So far no concrete proposals from firms developers aircraft have been reported, but it is known that the company AeroVironment is already working on a similar apparatus. Can he meet all the requirements of DARPA and will participate in the tender yet unknown.
