The Japanese car company Toyota intends to become the most serious “green” producer of passenger vehicles. The company is going to produce 1 million vehicles with hybrid engines, offering buyer “electric” version of any existing model.

In the short term, manufacturers intend to equip their cars more advanced petrol and diesel engines, and also intends to promote alternative fuels, including cellulose ethanol (ethyl alcohol) and bio-diesel supplies. Huge money is also invested in research related to lithium-ion batteries.

Due to rising oil prices and falling demand for vehicles Toyota President Katsuaki Watanabe (Katsuaki Watanabe) believes that other manufacturers will be forced to go in the same direction. However, completely abandon the consumption of hydrocarbons nobody in the company is not going to. The decision of the energy problem is to combine different technologies.
