AMD 6 Cores Opteron - Hardware preview

AMD to the industry announced a server workstation processors as the blueprint for the development, according to AMD vice president and president of server and workstation Randy Allen said, 45nm server processors will be the second half of the production, and will launch the second half of 2009 6 Core (6 Cores) processor “Istanbul”. In addition, third-generation Opteron processor platform will be asked in the first half of 2010, will switch to Socket G34 interface, and will in 2010-2011 between the launch of 12 core (12 Cores) processor “Magny-Cours”.
